BASE (Bali Animasi Solusi Ekakarsa) is a professional Animation studio located in Bali, Indonesia. We officially launched our practice in July 2015, since then have grown to a 200 staff studio producing multiple shows for both domestic and international markets, including the popular shows Sonic Boom (for Technicolor in US) and Luna Petunia (for Brain Power Studio in Canada). Our business focuses on production services, IP creation, and educational consultancy service.

Career

TECHNICAL ARTIST

LEVEL : MIDDLE  TO SENIOR

REQUIREMENTS

  • willing to be located in Denpasar, Bali for full time
  • multi-tasking and deadline oriented
  • able to working in team

RESPONSIBILITY

  • Develop CG workflow tools to meet immediate, show-directed production demands, ensuring facility-wide consistency as directed by show and technical supervisors.
  • Maintain a wide array of existing workflows and scripts
  • Providing front-line production support to other department Artists, troubleshooting assets and shots, and helping artists with general problem-solving
  • Testing and validating tools and techniques in production
  • Working closely with Pipeline Developers in testing and releasing new and modified software systems
  • Acting as an on-call resource for show production staff, primarily for complex, urgent problems
  • Providing front-line support, resolving complex user errors, and guiding Pipeline Developers with technical issues debugging
  • Updating documentation for the pipeline and tools to reflect any changes that have been made

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS : 

  • Fast knowledge of Maya, V-Ray, Nuke and Shotgun
  • Have at least 2 years of production experience in animation for film, commercials or television series
  • Be proficient in Windows and Python Scripting
  • Have experience with developing tools for Maya and Shotgun
  • Good understanding and knowledge of database

EXPERIENCE IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING IS ALSO A PLUS TO HAVE : 

  • Character rigging
  • Simulation and effects
  • C, C++
  • Revision control systems such as svn, git, bucket

 

3D ANIMATOR

RESPONBILITIES

  • Create complex animation sequences as assigned by the Supervisor/Director

  •  File management – organize work/files efficiently

  • Actively participate in script read-throughs and suite meetings offering thoughts and ideas

  • Remain current and up-to-date in animation techniques

  • Meet assigned weekly animation quotas.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Intermediate understanding of general animation, character animation, and lip-synching

  • Basic understanding of modeling and lighting skills

  • Intermediate knowledge of 3D software preferably Autodesk MAYA 

  • Basic knowledge of colour theory and physics of light a definite asset

  • Strong compositional skill is preferred but not essential

  • Good understanding of character posing

  • Able to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas

  • Able to multi-task and prioritize

  • Thrive in a high pressure, deadline oriented environment

  • Enjoy working in teams and is good at following directions.

 

 

MOTION CAPTURE ACTOR/ACTRESS

LEVEL : JUNIOR

REQUIREMENTS

  • Have a good body proportion
  • Able and willing to perform required actions
  • Having basic martial arts or traditional dance or modern dance background is a big plus
  • Eager to learn
  • Willing to follow direction

 

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

  • Do character/marker set up and perform ROM in timely manner
  • Actors are to perform/act the action that is required in timely manner
  • Responsible for mocap suit and other equipments on their own
  • Read and understand storyboard then act out character that is assigned by director

IT TECHNICAL SUPPORT – IT

LEVEL : JUNIOR TO MIDDLE

REQUIREMENTS

  • High level of integrity
  • Task orientation and communication skills
  • Strong process knowledge in the statutory areas
  • Commitment and eye for details
  • Experience of 1-3 years in IT Area as IT Generalist.   Should have been in a reputable medium or large sized company. Experience of animation/creative industry is desirable but not compulsory.
  • Minimum Graduate preferably Bachelor Degree in IT.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

  • Install, maintain and troubleshoote end-user hardware and software, including :
    • Office Software applications (standard installation for users)
    • 3D software applications
    • Render and Arts software applications
    • Update workstation and peripherals drivers
    • Configure Software Licenses.
    • Responsible for software, antivirus,license, network, powerline and daily computing issues
  • Prepare place, and all tools and program that is required for new project
  • Clean up workstation hardware and backup user temporary documents
  • Preparing equipment for presentation to visitors
  • Backup for Systems or Storage Administrator
  • Work with IT Team

3D ASSET CREATION

LEVEL : Middle to Senior

REQUIREMENTS

  • 6 months – 1 year experience as Junior Modeler (or equivalent)
  • Intermediate understanding of general Modeling, rigging, and texture mapping
  • Intermediate knowledge of 3D software preferably Maya
  • Degree/diploma in fine arts or animation or equivalent
  • Able to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize
  • Able to thrive in high pressure, deadline oriented environment
  • Able to work as a team
  • Able to follow direction well
